Alemax, Bodyman and Meeshabelle, the Bodykids from the Planet Threa |
|
|
Bodykids News was inspired by the nationally acclaimed Bodykids Characters featured on Fox Morning News, NBC News, Today, Entertainment Tonight and the Home Show. The original character, Bodyman, from the Planet Threa, appeared in innovative action stories created by Christopher Lawrence Sarro.
Christopher was honored by President Clinton for his stories and positive messages about protecting the environment, including his inspirational book, Bodyman Saves the President. During a television interview on Entertainment Tonight, as he was sharing his philosophy like an ancient sage, young Christopher simply explained that to help others, "Kids will listen to kids."

Bodyman is a wholesome, socially-conscious superhero. Clad in his green suit, with a "B" upon his chest and a carrot and a banana on his belt, he protects the environment and the children of Earth from the Fearsome Force, including Polluter, Drugs, Stranger and others. He receives his powers from the children's love. If the children forget about Bodyman, he will weaken. As Christopher grew, the stories expanded and he added characters to include his siblings in the ongoing adventures. His sister, Michelle, became Meeshabelle and his brother, Alex, became Alemax and together the three became Bodykids. Threan Communications, LLC is the publisher of the Bodykids Children's Book Series and Bodykids News.

Christopher was honored by President Bill Clinton with a commendation for the wholesome themes and the concern for the environment in his story, Bodyman Saves the President. He was invited, in character, to protect the White House and was featured on Fox Morning News in Washington, D.C. He was also flown to Burbank, CA, in front of a live audience on the Home Show, describing his upcoming stories such as The Day the Kids Forgot. Christopher was brought by limousine to the Today Show and stayed in the Essex House overlooking Central Park in New York City. As the stories continued, additional characters developed, with the Bodykids, as characters and in real life, cooperating and working together toward common goals. Chris, Michelle and Alex applied for a grant from Youth Venture and submitted their ideas in writing and in verbal presentations to the review committee. They were awarded the grant and divided their responsibilities with Chris and Alex developing characters and Michelle drawing the characters according to description. They continued writing additional stories with new characters and created Bodykids Character Cards with fun facts for younger children to enjoy. President Clinton was able to honor all three of the Bodykids as Teens for their "Giving Teens A Voice" projects.

By the time they were teens, the Bodykids were serving as Teen Reporters for Bodykids News and as Motivational Speakers, "Empowering Teens to Make Positive Life Choices." They worked on major fundraising events and interviewed many public figures from all walks of life about issues impacting the community. While at college, their commitment to service with respect to issues such as environmental awareness and their entrepreneurial spirit guided them, at home and overseas, when studying abroad. They have shared those experiences with students considering college. For those looking toward college, an important resource is available called, COLLEGE P.R.O. (Planner/Resource/Organizer) Simplifying the College Application and Selection Process for High School Students.
